Product Overview
1. Introduction
TimechoAgent is an intelligent database assistant for TimechoDB. Describe what you need in everyday language in your browser. The assistant can query data, perform authorized database operations, and explain the results.
You can ask follow-up questions and provide additional materials in the same conversation, whether you are querying device metrics, generating charts, preparing operations reports, or consulting operating procedures. For operations that write or delete data, the platform requests approval according to its rules and keeps records for later review.
2. Core Capabilities
- Database operations in natural language: Describe the data to query or the task to perform. The assistant generates database commands and executes them within the permissions and approval rules of the account.
- Data analysis and deliverables: Summarize and compare data, display line or bar charts, export query results as CSV, and generate Markdown reports from data already queried.
- Document reading and knowledge assistance: Read attachments, answer questions using procedures in the knowledge base, and cite sources. Models with image understanding can also read images and scanned documents.
- Conversation and workspace management: Continue discussing a task, save personal preferences, write SQL, scripts, or drafts to the conversation workspace, and edit or download them later. Workspace files are saved without being executed automatically.
- Permissions, approvals, and audits: Assign administration and approval permissions by role, bind database connections to users, and record execution results, approvals, and usage for authorized reviewers.
- Forecasting and external tools: After an administrator completes configuration, call TimechoAI for time-series forecasting or connect to other services through external tools. Data transfers require approval under platform rules.
3. Use Cases
| Scenario | Example request | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Routine data queries | "Find yesterday's average temperature for each device and list the five highest." | Query results and statistical explanations, with follow-up charts or exports available |
| Operations checks | "Check database node and disk status and list anything requiring attention." | Status results and details for operations staff to assess |
| Operations reports | "Generate a daily operations report from the data already queried in this conversation, stating its coverage." | A Markdown report that can be copied or downloaded |
| Operating procedures | "Explain the inspection steps after a temperature limit is exceeded, using the equipment procedures in the knowledge base." | An answer with document names, page numbers, or section references |
| Scripts and drafts | "Save the inspection SQL to the workspace, then change it to aggregate by hour." | A text file that can be edited, copied, or downloaded |
| Trend forecasting | "Forecast this device's temperature for the next hour." | Forecast values and a history/forecast chart after approval; requires a configured forecasting service and suitable data |
The available queries and operations depend on the database permissions bound to the account. Check results against your business requirements before using reports or applying database changes. Subsequent sections explain the steps and limits.
